It was built between 1870 and 1876. The material used for its construction came from an older Orthodox Church dedicated to the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bielsk Podlaski. Also the baroque iconostasis comes from that temple. By the temple there is an Orthodox cemetery with the graves of the church’s founders, Tatiana Onacik and Justyn Oniśkiewicz, as well as many other interesting tombstones.
