The biographical museum in Piła is dedicated to Stanisław Staszic. Museum is located in a small and modest house, propably the birthplace of Stanisław Staszic (1755) – the great Piła citizen, statesman, politician and scientist. The building was destroyed during the World War II, reconstructed after the war, and in 1986 rebuilt to restore its original design. The Museum collection contais Staszic memorabilia, his books and their translations, furniture and paintings from his times. The Museum’s activities include scientific research, education and organization of special exhibitions.
