Detail InformationEdit

The town hall was built from the hetman’s fee. This building was never the domain of the local government. It was rather the symbol of business. This beautifully and well decorated building symbolized the good taste of the owner, J. K. Branicki. The sale and lease of those buildings gave him a high income. Nowadays, the Museum of Podlasie is situated here. There are rich archeological and ethnographic collections, as well as, the gallery of Polish paintings. There is the fountain in front of the town hall and the marshal’s J. Piłsudski monument is located close to the Rynek Kosciusko – Sienkiewicza streets crossroad.
