adoba is a tiger reserve that is located in the Chandrapur District of the state of Maharashtra. It is the oldest national park in the state and was opened in 1935 and declared as a National Park in 1955. Tadoba is one among the 28 tiger reserves that are located in the country. The reserve has a variety of wildlife and it is home to around 50 different tigers as well. There are many other species of animals such as leopards, jungle cats, sloth bears, and wild dogs, cheetal deer, barking deer, sambar deer, hyenas, civets and gaur. In additions to this there are around 195 species of birds as well. The marshes in Tadoba are home to the marsh crocodile and it is one of the few remaining places where the species exists. The park is closed on all Tuesdays. This is a must see place for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. Jungle safaris can also be taken in the park and this is an interesting way to see the place. The jungle safari is usually conducted in a bus that can seat around 12 people and this ride goes all the way around the park. Visitors can experience wildlife at its most basic form while travelling in this safari ride.

Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is a Tiger reserves in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state . It is notable as Maharashtra’s oldest and largest National Park.The Reserve contains some of the best of forest tracks and endowed with rich biodiversity. It is famous for its natural heritage. Tadoba-andhari Tiger Reserve is the second Tiger Reserve in the State.

By Air : The closest airport is located at Nagpur, which is around 208 km from the national park. The airport has flights from different parts of the country and many major airline operators offer their services here. This is the most viable option for those who are arriving by air. Taxis are available from the airport and they charge around Rs 7 per km.

By Train : The closest rail head is located at Chandrapur and there are a few trains that arrive at this station. Gorakhpur Express, Navjeevan Express, Nizamuddin Express, and the Bagmati Express are some of the main trains that pass through the station. The station is located around 45 km from the national park and one can hire taxis from here.

By Bus : Government buses are available from Chandrapur to the Tadoba National Park. They can be boarded from the main bus terminus and are frequent. They cost around Rs 50 for the trip. Buses may be crowded and are not always comfortable. If you are travelling with luggage, this is a good option.
