Anglet is a commune in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques department in Aquitaine in south-western France. The town’s name is pronounced [aglet]; i.e. with the final ‘t’ sounded, unusually for French.Anglet lies in the traditional province of Labourd of the Northern Basque Country, while its inhabitants, called Angloys, have been traditionally Gascon speaking.
