Itinerary
DAY 1 Arrive at Port Blair / Sightseeing
Arrive at Port Blair and check into the hotel. After lunch visit Anthropological Museum which displays the tools, models habitats, art and handcrafts of the aboriginal tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Proceed to Corbyn’s Cove beach. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 Port Blair – Mount Harriet & Chidya Tapu
After breakfast, proceed for Mount Harriet – the 2nd highest peak (365 meters high) in the Andaman’s, which offers a magnificent bird’s eye view of Port Blair’s adjoining islands. The summer headquarters of the Chief Commissioner during British Raj, this place provides fascinating views. At 1530 hrs proceed to Chidyatapu located 30 kms away from Port Blair and also called the Sunset Point in Andaman’s. Return back to hotel in the evening. Please note the Vehicle ferry to Mt Harriet does not have fixed timings and there may be a waiting time of 20 – 30 mins before boarding the ferry.
DAY 3 Port Blair – Havelock
Early morning departure (0600 hrs) ferry from Port Blair – Havelock. The ferry takes 2.5 hrs to reach Havelock. On arrival proceed to selected hotel and in the evening proceed to Beach No 7* (Radhanagar Beach) rated as the ‘Best Beach in Asia’ by Time Magazine (N/Ac Car/Jeep will be provided for pickup and drop, time spent 2-3 hours). Return back to the hotel to relax and unwind. (Kindly inform hotel to provide packaged breakfast as the same is not included at Havelock) Upgrade to Makruzz Speed Ac Cataraman from PB- Havelock- PB @ Rs 800 per person return tickets.
DAY 4 Excursion to Elephanta Beach
Optional sightseeing at extra cost to Elephanta Beach. Start early morning by 7 am and embark on the most memorable snorkelling trip, *just 40 min by boat this beach offers snorkelers calm blue shallow waters and is the perfect spot for beginner snorkelers. The boat goes right up to the beach and it’s so easy to slip on your gear and just start snorkelling. It’s also a great place to just spend the day lying on the beach and relaxing. The beach is very scenic with fallen trees and white sand giving the photographer some interesting shots. The reef here starts very close to shore at a depth of about 1 metre. The large reef is mostly made up of hard coral and has plenty of marine life. Note: Inclusive of snorkelling equipment and car pick up and drop to jetty. (The trip may be changed to light house subject to weather conditions and visibility.)
DAY 5 Havelock Island – Day at Leisure
The day is free at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6 Havelock – Port Blair
Return from Havelock Island in the evening and transfer to hotel in Port Blair. (Do note that all hotels on Havelock have a early morning check out time and late check out is provided at the discretion of the hotel management)
DAY 7 Port Blair – City Sightseeing – Shopping
After Breakfast, we take you for the tour of Port Blair city which covers Cellular Jail (National Memorial), Chatham saw mill (the oldest and biggest mill in Asia), Forest Museum, Samundrika (Naval Marine Museum), Science Centre, Anthropological Museum, which displays the tools, models habitats, art and handcrafts of the aboriginal tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, After that we proceed to Corbyn’s Cove beach Shopping : At evening, we proceed to Sagarika ( the Govt. Emporium of Handcraft) and local market for shopping.
DAY 8 Depart from Port Blair
After breakfast, transfer to Port Blair Harbor and depart to onward destination.
