56 Pine Street – originally referred to as the Wallace Building once its developer, James Wallace – at 56-58 Pine Street between Pearl and William Streets within the monetary District of Manhattan, ny town, was in-built 1893-94 and was designed by accolade Wirz within the architectural {style|style of architecture|type of architecture} Revival style.
The building’s facade consists of brick, stone and earthenware and options colonnettes, deeply inset windows and rounded arched openings. The patterned panels and fantastic heads that embellish the building is “some of the best Byzantine carving in ny.” The building was selected a brand new royal line town landmark in 1997, and was superimposed to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
