It had been designed by the developer brothers Bing & Bing and noted designer mineral Philip Roth whose alternative works embody The Beresford and therefore the imaginary place.The building was granted AN occupancy license on July thirty, 1931, gap ab initio as AN “apartment hotel” with a room on the bottom floor. In 1986, 299 West twelfth Street and its sister building, 302 West twelfth Street, were reborn into condominiums, containing primarily studio and one sleeping room units. It homes 183 condominium residences.
