2 Horatio Street may be a landmarked residential building set within the Village Historic District on the side of lower Manhattan in the big apple town. It faces north onto Horatio Street (named for Major General Horatio Gates) and Jackson sq. Park. It borders borough Avenue to the east. In Gregorian calendar month 1929 the developer brothers Bing & Bing proclaimed that they’d nonheritable all the mandatory land on Horatio, West Twelfth and St. Christopher Streets to make 5 high-end residential buildings in a very conjunct effort to “recreate” the Village neighborhood.
For 2 Horatio Street, Bing & Bing selected designer Henry Martyn Robert T. Lyons. They’d simply finished operating with him on the Gramercy Park edifice that had opened simply many years earlier in 1925.
