The 1616 Walnut Street Building or 1616 Building may be a historic high-rise building within the Center town space of metropolis, Pennsylvania. The 24-story building stands ninety four meters tall. In 1930, the architects received a present for the building’s style at the twelfth International Buildings Congress in Budapest. Its five-story parking garage on the Chancellor Street aspect, a part of the initial construction, was thought of a novelty in 1929. it had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and therefore the metropolis Register of Historic Places on January seven, 1982.
