155th Street ar 2 crossed streets within the Harlem neighborhood, within the ny town borough of Manhattan. They’re the northmost of the one hundred fifty five crossed streets delineated within the Commissioner’s set up of 1811 that established the numbered street grid in Manhattan. The road consists of a “high portion” that could be a major artery through the world, yet as a lesser-used “low portion”.
The high portion of a hundred and fifty fifth Street starts on the side at Riverside Drive, crossing Great White Way, Amsterdam Avenue and St. Nicholas Avenue. At St. Nicholas Place, the tract drops off steeply, forming Coogan’s Bluff. A hundred and fifty fifth Street is carried on a one,600-foot (490 m) long bridge, a town Landmark created in 1893, that slopes down towards the channel, continued onto the Macombs Dam Bridge, biological process (but not crossed with) the channel Drive. A separate, unconnected section of a hundred and fifty fifth Street runs beneath the bridge, connecting Bradhurst Avenue and also the channel Drive. The ny town Subway serves the high a {part of} a hundred and fifty fifth Street at a hundred and fifty fifth Street on the IND Eighth Avenue Line and also the low part at a hundred and fifty fifth Street on the IND Concourse Line.
