The I-10 Twin Span Bridge, better-known domestically because the Twin Spans, consists of 2 parallel trestle bridges. These parallel bridges cross the japanese finish of Lake Pontchartrain in southern Pelican State from point of entry, Pelican State to Slidell, Louisiana. The present twin spans were made within the half of the 2000s when the first bridges were extensively broken by cyclone Katrina in 2005. The primary span opened to eastward traffic on Gregorian calendar month nine, 2009. On April 7, 2010, the second span was opened to traffic and also the previous twin spans were for good closed to traffic.
